Ward 9 families deserve public schools that are well-funded, well-staffed, and focused on giving every child a real shot at success. Too many schools in working-class communities are underfunded while property taxes continue to climb. Teachers are stretched thin. Programs are being cut. And families are being asked to make up the difference. At the same time, every family's situation is different. Parents deserve to be partners in their children's education, not obstacles to it.
The Problem
Strong public schools build strong communities. The neighborhoods that thrive are the ones where families believe in the schools their kids attend. Ward 9 deserves that.
Adequate, fair funding for Concord's public schools that doesn't disproportionately burden local property taxpayers
Supporting teachers with competitive pay and the resources they need to do their jobs
Opposing cuts to public school programs that serve Ward 9 students
Ensuring that education policy decisions respect the diversity of families in our community — different needs, different circumstances, different paths
Advocating for after-school programs, mental health resources, and support services that help all students succeed
A child's opportunity to succeed should not depend on their zip code or their family's income. That's the standard Ward 9 deserves — and the standard I'll fight for at the State House.
