The Problem
Rent is up. Property taxes are up. Groceries are up. Heating bills are up. Childcare costs are up. Prescription costs are up. And wages? Not keeping up. The affordability crisis isn't one issue, it's every issue hitting at once. And for too long the people making decisions in Concord haven't felt it the way Ward 9 families feel it. They talk about the economy in the abstract. We live it at the kitchen table. I run a small business in Concord. I track expenses. I know what it means when costs go up and margins get thin. And know what it means personally as someone who has stretched every dollar and worked through real financial hardship, to face a system that doesn't seem built for people like us.
What I'll Fight For
Making affordability the central lens through which I evaluate every bill and every budget decision at the State House
Property tax relief that helps both homeowners and renters because when property taxes go up, rent goes up too
Opposing cuts to programs that provide a safety net for families in crisis
Fighting for wages that actually keep pace with the cost of living in New Hampshire
Ensuring that Ward 9's working families, seniors, renters, and small business owners have a voice in every conversation about the state budget
The State House should feel the urgency that Ward 9 families feel every single month. I'm running to make sure it does.
